The difference you make...

Here are some of the thoughts and reflections, from our students and their parents, on how they have found the YMAS programme...

“The chemistry sessions were very good and thoroughly explained. I understood everything well and the pace was good.”

- Student

“[My child] has been looking forward to his sessions and has taken a keen interest in his studies”

- Parent

“Alhamdullilah they have been really good , the teaching has been amazing, all content is explained well and the pace is in a way that ensures we fully understand.”

- Student

“The commitment and patience of mentors and organisers has been inspiring and encouraging. The constant reminders, professionalism and respectful behaviour during interactions has also been humbling.”

- Parent

“It has been amazing so far. The mentorship has helped me a lot with topics I study and find difficult, and interacting with my fellow students has also been really good.”

- Student

“The team have been great in supporting his growth and development. They have been excellent educators, mentors and big brothers. He is learning to be a better boy, building his confidence and ambition to become a good man. The team has also been kind to me as a parent, always ready to provide what is needed, going above and beyond.”

- Parent

“I liked connecting with my mentors. They are very supportive. The atmosphere in al quds is great. Everything is made to support us and for that I am grateful.”

- Student

“The mentorship he has been so inspiring for him, the etiquette he is picking up and the kindness he is now showing is just a small reflection of his mentorship. The organisation itself has been incredible in its simplicity and commitment to the boys education and future. The blend between Deen and Dunya has been nice to watch. I pray this continues.”

- Parent

“It has been great! I think I will remember this experience forever in my life. Learning together with my teachers motivate to do better.”

- Student

“The journey with Al-Quds Academy has been excellent and very productive. My daughter always enjoys the class, the group and the tutors are very knowledgeable, experienced, supportive and very understanding.”

- Parent

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Al-Quds Academy so far! From the induction day all the way through to my final exam, it has been a way for me to grow academically and also a person. I have really enjoyed my time here so far, and Inshallah it will get even better! :)”

What our current mentors think...

It has been a privilege to be an academic mentor as part of the YMAS 24 programme. One thing that surprised me was how growth-orientrated Al Quds have been. This is visible across the organisation but particularly impacted me as an academic mentor. I was able to see the efforts taken to continuously improve the sessions and strive for ihsan. Al Quds have put lots of thought into providing comprehensive training for mentors and also resources for delivering the sessions.

The education team’s efforts in creating the lesson content has been great. I like the setup of the Miro boards; its format is easy to follow, it is well structured and there are nice colours, themes, pictures. I also really liked the implementation of the flash cards. The education team are also very supportive and were very quick to resolve any issues/concerns I had. Also I think keeping us in the loop with a newsletter is a good idea.

Alhamdulillah, AQ has allowed me to grow in all these technical areas but also instilled this sense of responsibility within me as I've been initiated my mentor journey. Mentioned it before in a call but the way other members and even some students carry themselves is always an inspiration to continue bettering my self bi-idhnitAllah.

Amazing to say the least... the effort each sector of alquds puts in to pump out high quality work is astounding, and honestly I think the only reason something like alquds has ran so well on its first attempt is because of the purity of intentions and subsequently the barakah Allah has granted us, inshaa`Allah - Allahu a'lam.

I don't think people realise the individual positive impact it has had on us as mentors. It constantly pushes us to improve ourselves, renews our intentions and encourages us to reflect to deliver the best to our students. The community is fantastic and sisterhood is very strong mash’Allah.

About your role

Are you a hafidh/hafidha or en route to become one?

Do you want to inspire and uplift the next generation of young Muslims with the beauty of the Qur’an?

We are looking for dedicated and passionate Qur’an Leads who are deeply committed to nurturing a love for the Qur’an within young Muslims. Your role as Qur’an lead will focus on developing our students’ tajweed, and instilling a lifelong appreciation for the beauty of the Qur’an. Your guidance will shape the next generation of Muslims, In Shaa Allah.

The difference you make...

We asked different Muslims about their experiences with their Qur’an teachers, and here are some of the responses:

“Her goal wasn’t just for me to read fluently; she wanted me to grow as a good Muslim. She truly was amazing.”

“Without the lessons I would be less disciplined. I feel closer to Allah SWT through hifdh and reading the words He has revealed.”

“They gave me the confidence to recite melodically and the courage to recite ALOUD!”

“Her teaching didn’t just change how I read; it transformed my relationship with Allah SWT in a way that will last forever.”

Why join us as a
Qur’an Lead?

Teaching the Qur’an holds great value in the life of a Muslim. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ beautifully emphasised this by saying:

“The best among you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.” [Sahih al-Bukhari]
